We’re thrilled to announce our first mentoring session of the year alongside our Sporting Champions Awards, taking place this November.
Mentoring Day
Hosted by our Ambassador, Colin Jackson, and joined by our Elite athletes and industry professionals, the mentoring afternoon will take place between 12.30pm and 4pm on 7th November with lunch included.
Following on from the mentoring sessions, we’re excited to host our first Sporting Champions awards ceremony for the first time since 2019, which recognises the sporting excellence of our athletes over the past 12 months.
The day will be structured as follows:
12.00pm – 12.30pm – Athletes arrive for registration with lunch included
12.30pm – 1.00pm – Welcome from Colin Jackson
1:00pm – 4:00pm – Mentoring Sessions And Q&A from Elite athletes and Colin Jackson
4:00pm – 4:30pm – Light refreshments
4:30pm – 6:00pm – Sporting Champions Awards 2023
Sporting Champions Awards
The awards will take place on Tuesday, November 7 from 16.00-18.00 at Porchester Hall, Porchester Rd, London W2 5HS
This year, we want to hear from you and need your votes for the following Sporting Champion award categories. The initial nominations will be reviewed by our panel and then we’ll share the shortlisted finalists on 7th October.
Award Categories
The award categories include:
- Regional Champions
Three awards available depending on location, one for each region (East, West, South East)
Criteria: Winners will include those who have had career successes or who have engaged with the Sporting Champions scheme and their local Everyone Active centre. We will also celebrate those who have helped to inspire other up-and coming sportsmen and women.
- National Sporting Champion
Criteria: Winners will include those who have had national career successes, fully supported the growth of our scheme and helped to inspire up-and coming sportsmen and women across the country.
- Young Champion of the year
Criteria: The Young Athlete of the Year Award recognises athletes aged 16 and under who are already achieving amazing successes in their careers.
- Social Media Champion of the year
Criteria: The Social Champion of the Year will have been really engaged with our scheme, kept us up to date with their progress and taken all the opportunities on offer to them.
- Everyone Active team of the year for support to Sporting Champions scheme
Criteria: A special award to celebrate the Everyone Active facility of the year that has helped our Sporting Champions and ensured that individuals could utilise the Everyone Active training facilities.
